This electronic air cleaner maintains a constant output voltage to the cells for maximum efficiency. With other air cleaners, the voltage drops as the air cleaner collects - efficiency drops. This Cleanaire 24-volt electronic air cleaner uses 15 watts vs. 35-45 watts required by other air cleaners.
The Cleanaire electronic air cleaner connects with 24 volt wires from the existing system transformer directly to the air cleaner.
The power supply of the electronic air cleaner boosts the 24V input to proper high voltage to the collector cells.
The Cleanaire 24-volt electronic air cleaner eliminates the need for a sail switch or pressure switch with a built-in solid state airflow sensing device.
