Piro-Sensing Intelligence makes this product an advanced occupancy device that will recognize the presence of a person in a room.The Piro-Sensor needs to sense both heat and motion, so a blowing curtain, will not activate the HVAC System or turn on an object. The Piro-Sensor detects Motion and Infrared Heat. This wide view, wall mounted sensor detects motion up to 40 ft. and larger motion up to 70 ft. It incorporates "curtain technology" which eliminates non-human heated objects. The infrared sensing circuit eliminates non-body heat such as: sunlight, supply heat from ducts, or light bulb heat.
